Silverballers owner, Derrick, was born and bred in Colorado. Besides being a father of a son and daughter, he works at MillerCoors and loves his job because as he puts it, “I mean what could beat working around beer all day!” Derrick is a diehard Packer fan which is evident when asked other football related questions. For instance, when asked what NFL teams he does not like it’s the standard Lions, Vikings, Bears but he tosses in the Seahawks and Broncos too. He does have a soft spot for the Caroline Panthers though because some family is from that area. His favorite players? On offense, Aaron Rodgers and on defense, Charles Woodson. Shocking!

Derrick began playing fantasy football back in 2006 with an ESPN redraft league that he says was good for a new guy getting his feet wet. Derrick says he loves absolutely everything about fantasy football. When pressed for a pet peeve, he offered up that he doesn’t like that the defensive side of the ball gets as much love as the offensive side. His favorite fantasy football memory was when he had the 2nd overall pick in a work redraft league and he really wanted Adrian Peterson but he figured the owner in front of him would take him…but surprisingly that owner selected Kevin Faulk!?!? and before it was officially even his turn, Derrick yelled out Adrian Peterson as fast as he could! Haha. Last we checked in, Derrick played in 4 leagues as he sees that as his max, and that number has not changed since joining Roster Wars. When asked what has changed since joining Roster Wars, he claims he’s more open and talks more smack than ever before. Not sure if that’s a good thing or not….

Derrick has been doing an article about the strength of teams offensive and defensive players for a few years, earning himself the WEAPONRY patch he dons on his signature around our forum. He’s a very active owner that absolutely adds to the strength of our club.
