“I am Eric Biederer and you can say that I am just a guy that enjoys competing with the best of the best in the Roster Wars Dynasty Owners Club. Since April 6th, 2013, the first day I introduced myself to the most active fantasy football league in the world, I have established
myself as the 4th highest overall posting member. You will be sure to find me every Tuesday laying down the weekly results from the confidence and survivor side games in my article Pool Wars.
I was born in Evanston, Illinois on football Sunday, of course, December 6th, 1970. Growing up the son of a “carny”, my dad made it difficult to have the traditional family structure. Me and my beloved mother moved around quite a bit until the age of 8 when we settled in Glenview, Illinois.
I discovered I have two half brothers which I have had contact with but not nearly enough to equal one whole brother if you know what I mean.
Maybe it was in my blood to be on the road since I chose to spend most of my young adult life following various local 80’s cover bands as a “roadie”. Controlling the lights for the band during the shows and living the rockstar lifestyle to its fullest. I eventually made a few real life observations and determined I needed to grow up and leave that life, and more importantly... the
drugs and alcohol behind. I am proud to say that I have been sober since December 18th, 2006 and I continue to take it one day at a time. I frequent meetings which have been a gracious benefit in helping me succeed.
The good ole days spent dreaming of being the next Kid Rock are behind me now. I have settled
down in South Elgin, Illinois. My day job consists of performing manufacturing tasks such as stamping, ENGRAVING, and operating a CNC machine which produces dies and molds at Award Concepts where I have been employed for longer than most quarterbacks have played in the NFL. No major complaints other than it is not the type of career that will allow for much growth or provide any advancement opportunities.
It does allow me the freedom to pursue my favorite day job which is managing the two time Terrible Twelve Conference champion Goon Squad. Other than proposing, negotiating or evaluating trades my only other interest is my most precious one which is spending as much quality time as I can with my best friend since February 15th, 2014, and soon to be wife Victoria. Vickie as she prefers is from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and it is no coincidence that this fairy-tale
romance brought together a Green Bay Packers fan and a devoted Chicago Bears fan.
Since I began watching football around the age of 21 years old, I have been loyal to “Da Bears”. I mean, you really have no choice when you turn on a football game in Illinois, if you ain’t rooting for the Bears then you are probably from Wisconsin.”
