Jon aka "Jonny English" was born and bred in Leicester, England....Premier League Champions '15/'16. Happily married to his wife, Deb and no kids by choice. Jon likes kids but he likes the option to give them back after 20 minutes...err...make that 15 minutes. Jon is co-owner of a vacuum forming manufacturing company and while he likes the Pittsburgh Steelers it's really all about fantasy football for him. For some strange reason he has watched Season 1 of THE WIRE six times to give you some insight into where he's at mentally. ;)

He says his favorite offensive and defensive NFL players are Keenan Allen ("you can't beat his consistency and production as long as he's fit") and Reshad Jones ("for exactly the same reasons").

Since joining Roster Wars, life hasn't changed too much for Jon. He's working the same job and married to the same great girl and he's counting down until retirement. He had skin cancer but thankfully it was caught early on so he's had no health issues otherwise.

Jon started playing fantasy football in roughly 2008 and he loves watching the NFL games on Sundays, spending time on our forum and talking trades with other owners. The strategy of the game and the highs of winning and being right when making judgement calls gives him something fun and challenging to spend his down time on.

When asked about what his pet peeves in fantasy football are he replied "Losing to bad teams that can't put together a roster and have to start schlubs like Mercedes Lewis on the week he scores 3 touchdowns after amassing three fantasy points through the first seven weeks. Stuff like that." Awfully specific!

His favorite fantasy memory is "Roster Wars Championship baby! You can never take it away. That takes some doing."

Since joining Roster Wars, Jon is rare in that he has increased the number of leagues he plays in from about 4 to 6 or 7 but he has dropped a few old leagues in favor of some new ones helmed by other Roster Wars owners. All dynasty. All IDP. #hardcore

An ORIGINAL who joined Roster Wars in 2012, Jon has been a journalist since Day 1 writing several weekly in-season articles along the way. He's also a member of the RW Insurance Company. He's a well-liked, well-respected key piece of the Roster Wars puzzle.

2020

Oddly enough, for the Dragons merely winning their Chapter and having the top offense in the league is likely a disappointing season. That aside, the team is still one of the most feared in all of Roster Wars.

2019

The England Dragons dynasty continues to roll on with another Chapter title and to nobody’s surprise a 3rd place finish for 2019. Some felt the team would slip the last couple years but Jon and his team have squashed any thoughts of that nature and in fact had the top offense in the entire Main League as well.

2018

Unlike most franchises, when it comes to the Dragons it’s probably fair to call it a down year when they only hardware they brought home is a Chapter title. That obvious statement aside, winning it is still more than some teams can claim so good for the Dragons!

2017

The England Dragons doing Dragon things in 2017 as everyone could have guessed. Winning their Chapter has become an expectation at this point and even top honors for team scoring, offensive scoring and All-Play record are hardly a shock to anyone that’s been around for any length of time.

2015

You can only keep a monster out for so long. This was the year that the Dragons brought the house down and left no survivors. Everything else looked just like every other Dragons season. Seeing them on your schedule strikes fear and if you squeak past them with a win you seemingly have a tale to tell your grandchildren about. This year, Jon got his much deserved trophy!

2014

When you’re the top scoring team in the entire league, odds are you will win your Chapter and that’s precisely what the England Dragons did in 2014. To put a cherry on top of a good year, owner Jon brought home the Survivor Award too.

2013

In this year, the world truly began to fear the almighty Dragons. The top offense drove the freight train that was the top scoring team with the best all-play record. The league should call it a miracle that they only won their Chapter and spared the rest…for now. Jon also brought home the Survivor Award for good measure.

2012

The England Dragons get a great start to their career by not only winning their Chapter, but also having the best all-play record for the entire league. Once in the playoffs, they also showed well and ultimately brought home the 3rd place award. Not a bad start!
